Our dream place
Hi!
We are Martijn and Hilke and have two children: Roos and Lex.
In the summer of 2022 we exchanged the hectic life in Eindhoven for the peace and space of Periana, in the south of Spain. Why? We wanted more peace and space to enjoy life, our children and each other: our ‘vida calma’. And we would like you to enjoy that too.
While Martijn divides his attention between family and his job as a recruiter, Hilke focuses her warmth and care on the two apartments and the children. Roos and Lex go to the school in Periana.
Eindhoven
In Eindhoven we lived in the middle of the city with a small garden. Life mainly revolved around work, bringing the children, picking them up and – after a long tiring day for everyone – quickly cooking and going to bed. It wasn’t for us. But what is?
The answer
We longed for the time when we were not available 24/7, not continuously connected and always ‘on’. We found the answer in 2019 during a holiday on Mallorca. The kids ran outside all day. They enjoyed. And we enjoyed. Of their fun and of being close to them and each other. We thought: this is what we want every day.

Really hospitable
We like to work with and for people. Hilke is a nursing specialist and Martijn is also a social animal through and through. As professionals in the hospitality industry, healthcare and recruitment and as volunteers, we have always wanted to create a pleasant environment and a fun time for people with great enthusiasm. It is in the blood and gives us a lot of energy.
